Members of the foundation board
Dr. h. c. Katharina Heyer
As founder and president of firmm Katharina Heyer leads the foundation in Switzerland and Spain. She spends the summer months with her team with the whales and dolphins in Tarifa. In winter she is on her way to lectures, fairs and other events in Switzerland and Germany to carry the cause of firmm into the world.
Prof. Dr. Patricia Holm
Patricia Holm has been a member of the foundation board since 2010. The Professor of Ecology at the University of Basel is also a Swiss delegate to the scientific committee of the IWC. At firmm she is responsible for research and scientific work.
Benny Stutz
Benny Stutz has supported our foundation from the very beginning. He has been a member of the foundation board since 1998 and is therefore a founding member of firmm. Benny was founder and managing director of the Gärtnerhaus Foundation, which came into being one year before firmm. Due to his age he resigned there.
Samuel Notz
Samuel Notz has been a member of the foundation board since 2008. He advises firmm in economic, financial and organizational matters and is involved in the future strategic orientation of firmm. Samuel is also the initiator of firmm-education.
Caroline Burger
Caroline Burger has been a member of the foundation board since 2015, but for many years already she has been taking care of the administrative support of firmm Switzerland. Among other things, she is responsible for answering enquiries and sending information about the courses and the receipts for donations.
Margrit Brack
Margrit Brack has been accompanying firmm since the foundation was founded. She manages the bookkeeping in Switzerland and is our link to the foundation control of the Dept. of the Interior in Bern as well as to the Register of Companies. She coordinates the bookkeeping of Spain with the bookkeeping in Switzerland.

Prof. David Senn
David Senn was a founding member of our foundation and responsible for the area research, which he handed over to Patricia Holm in 2010.
