Whales and Dolphins in the Strait of Gibraltar
Bottlenose dolphins in the Strait of Gibraltar are looking for a sponsor. We introduce them here.
We saw Lolly the first time together with her baby. She has a fungal infection on her dorsal fin, which makes it really easy to identify her.
Baby Leila was born in July 2012. Her mother Melissa is caring and devoted to agile little Leila.
We know Cutty since 2000 and thus longer than all the other bottlenose dolphins who are up for adoption. She got her name because of the special shape of her dorsal fin, which is slightly cut.
Salto got our attention with a phenomenal jump in 2011. Maybe he wanted to take a bird’s eye view of the firmm boat.
Puzzle is mother and has already raised several calves. She is a very sociable animal and likes to swim amidst her family.
White Cap is a female Bottlenose Dolphin and we can recognize her easily, as her name indicates, on the white end of her dorsal fin.
