On the 18th of October our marine biologist Jörn visited the school "Virgen del Sol" in Tarifa to inform the children about the plastic pollution on land and in the sea.
When we boarded our boat Vision on the morning of September 20th, we had no idea of the eventful trips that awaited us: Eleven days of countless Sperm Whale sightings followed.

While a boisterous Pilot Whale caught our eye during a whale-watching trip – when browsing the photos we became aware of a much smaller but not less interesting creature: a barnacle.

There are considerably more sightings of Pilot Whales in the Strait of Gibraltar this spring than in recent years. We observe numerous new families, strikingly many mothers with juvenile Pilot Whales, even with several newborns.
