Of fishermen and ocean giants that „saved“ our trips

On Saturday the 14th of July we went looking for Orcas and other whales and dolphins with our two boats firmm Spirit and firmm Fly Blue full of passengers. It was important to me to find these marine mammals because I had been out on an almost unsuccessful trip in the morning of the 11th of July. On my first trip we headed towards the Atlantic for three long hours- without success. The appearance of a fin whale luckily saved my day.
Even though on Sunday we were out with two boats our search for Orcas was not successful.
To the delight of our guests we were witnesses to an impressive scenario: We discovered Moroccan fishermen fighting for about 20 minutes with a huge tuna.
After following the breathtaking and tiring spectacle we came across an “old friend” – a chipped pilot whale.
Afterwards as a positive surprise for everybody all of a sudden a sperm whale appeared just between the Spirit and Fly Blue. Both boats were able to admire the unhurried ado of the animal for minutes.
Already during the morning of 11th of July the almost unsuccessful trip was “saved” by a sighting of an ocean giant. My relief and also of the guests was obviously very big.
