In May we reported about the injured whale CURRO. Thank god Jörn's fears that he might not survive have not come true.
We have sighted CURRO from time to time and were always glad that he was still alive, and his wound was healing slowly. It seems to heal from inside out and is not as deep anymore as it was before. The animal dives noticeably long, and you can photograph him only from a distance. Once he came quite close to the boat.

Zack-Zack is fine, too!

We have also seen Zack-Zack regularly with her calf. She is quite shy, and it is therefore not easy to take a good picture of her. Today she swam around the new boat with her calf inspecting all the sides of our boat.

Unfortunately, there are 2 more injured pilot whales:

Paragüita has got a deep cut in his tail fin. We discovered him recently and do not have any good pictures yet because we don´t want to disturb him.
Tobellera, the pilot whale with a piece of nylon net around his tail fin, is less severely injured. We hope that the net will loosen and won't cut through his tail fin.
